Mercutio is a cool and classy 2 to 4 piece jazz ensemble that has played everywhere and for everyone, from rock stars to heads of state.
Mercutio was the resident entertainment at the Hotel Sofitel for 6 years and the Grand Hyatt for 3 years. It has a long established reputation for sophisticated live music, with wonderful vocals and arrangements that bring something very special to any venue or function. Whether it's a quiet and elegant live music atmosphere that is required for guests and patrons or vibrant entertainment for a special occasion, Mercutio does it all – with style.
On a Friday night Mercutio might be a subtle duo for 50 at a Yarra Valley Winery, Saturday night - a sophisticated trio for an elegant wedding celebration at The Hotel Windsor or Ripponlea or a corporate audience at Crown and on Sunday - a vibrant quartet entertaining the throngs on stage in the City Square.
Restaurants, cafes, bars, luxury hotels, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, openings and launches, festivals, outdoor events and concerts – Mercutio can, and does, do it all.
Mercutio members have toured and performed across Australia, Europe, America, Asia and Britain. Their profile also includes numerous television appearances, recordings, commercials and concerts.
Mercutio's line-up is very versatile and can transform to suit any occasion : solo, duo, trio, quartet and more, in any combination of vocal, keyboard, sax / flute and percussion.
