Rod Wilson
MAN WITH A GRAND
Rod Wilson is a classically trained pianist who has performed extensively as a featured solo artist and as a member of very diverse bands and orchestras. These include rock, brass, jazz, big bands, and classical ensembles. He has also accompanied and performed with high profile artists in concerts, tours, luxury hotels, bars, lounges, clubs, restaurants and jazz venues.
With a highly musical family heritage, Wilson's musical career includes National and international tours, session artist recording, record and album production, live television appearances, concert performances and musicals.
Wilson is a core member of mercutio and has become a popular solo performer in some of the most elegant and exclusive hotel venues, including The Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Sofitel on Collins and the Hotel Windsor.
He is currently entertaining audiences at both the Hotel Windsor and Hotel Sofitel on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Wilson has a self titled CD that is available at performances and through this site.
